About Me...

It all started when I got in trouble and my dad thought my punishment should be wall sits. Little did he know that my thighs grew stronger, my endurance increased, and my drive to push hard was instilled at a young age because I wanted to show him it didn’t hurt. In your face Dad! I also noticed when he wasn’t looking, I could modify my position just a touch so it wasn’t as painful. Yep, I know a lot of tricks to get through that isometric torture. Fast forward to me as an adult and I love fitness! I decided to become a Personal Trainer so I could earn a living but also still be in my kid’s lives’ as much as possible. It turned out to be the best decision.

I love training clients but even more so, I love helping change people’s lives for the better. I may have started out as just a Trainer but quickly realized that being physically active is just one portion of our overall health. From there, I decided to become a Fitness Nutrition Coach and educate members of my community about making better choices when it comes to food and physical activity.

As a Facilitator for Greater Houston’s YMCA Weight-Loss Program, I connected on a deeper level with my participants and decided I needed to learn more about Behavioral Change. See, we all have issues/concerns/barriers that keep us from moving forward when things get tough. I’ve been able to help find some of those deeply hidden subject matters so clients could fully address them and move passed the past. This is where I really began to enjoy the transformations! Knowing that balance in life manifests itself through 8 different wellness dimensions really opened my eyes to what a person needs help with to succeed. So, I couldn’t just stop at behavioral change, could I? Nope! I decided to learn more about nutrition and how our bodies function. I think becoming a Registered Dietitian and really get down deep into nutrition and food sciences will truly help my clients achieve their health goals more fully.

This is my journey and I hope you’ll check back in to see how it’s going or what I can do for you!

Later my friend!
